nd the indios try
to maintain their culture and heritage today. descendants of the aztec dance in zocalo in front of the cathedral... in front of the anthropological museum men climb to the top of a huge pole and tie ropes around their waists and swing down to the ground... just as their ancestors did to worship and celebrate their Gods... the antropology museum is an enormous collection of buildings housing artifacts from ancient mexican cultures. ..
pictures from mayan temples, statues of olmec heads, parts of temples from
teotihucan... my favourite thing at the museum apart from the head was the headless and
armless statue of a man... i called it the venus de milo de mexico... unfortunately it's a guy so it cant really be venus... but whatever. and then the big circular thing was an aztec calendar... they atually staged fights to the death on it between two warriors... crazy. yeah, im
writing this in october and retroactively dating
