to understand america today, you have to understand our history, and one of the most traumatic events in american history is the war for southern independence. gettysburg is the biggest battlefield out there, and the one most visited by americans and foreigners... so, i figured, i would take the dutch 3 hours drive out of the way to show the dutch mids gettysburg. the said they really enjoyed it. i did not take them on the segway scooter tour though...
i should have booked the individual driver/tour guide option online ahead of time...
but, didn't, so we took a bus tour... it was ok... but, i think next time, i'll book ahead. one of the cool things we did this time was see the cyclorama, which is a huge circular painting of the battle... mostly at the time pickett's/pettigrew's charge is going down.
