so today, i went down to wimbledon to meet up with a friend for lunch. we

ate at a south african burger place and then we went back into town and walked along the river thames for a bit. and then i crossed over to

the north side of the river, wandered on... past the royal court of justice and back down to the banks of the thames... i was trying to get to horse guards to take a picture of the soldiers on guard. but i went straight instead of veering to the left and i wound up in trafalgar square... where there was bedlam from the tour de france... so i turned around and took the right route this time... and i wound up at horse guards... only i couldnt cross the street because the tour de france was runnin down it... so i watched some of the guys start... and much to my surprise, i saw a car with Lancaster on the hood... so apparently, there is a chap with my name riding

the tour... so i hope he wins... go coz. go. then i walked to the nearest tube stop (westminster) and got on the train... i only had to go three stops to sloane square and then get off again... but at victoria a crowded car became absolutely jampacked... the fun part of that was, with one stop to go, i got crammed into the very back of the car... and then had to fight my way back through to get out... i havent quite recovered my hong kong sense of shoving

people out of the way yet. when i was in hong kong crowded metros were not a problem... but then sars came and nobody rode anymore... and hten i spent three years back in texas/oklahoma/virginia... where the need for brutal crowd measures isnt quite as drastic as big cities... anyhow, i'm exhausted. im off to bed.
